"This collection of short films, each river in a nicely edited 4 minute segment, covers the mainly rural streams and rivers of Illinois which are most usable by canoeists and kayakers. I have loaned my copy out so I don't have the list of included streams, but it is very comprehensive.
The filmmaker details where to go, what you will see there, how to know if the river is runnable that day, what skill level is needed, etc. A very well done package, with a nice DVD menu system to get you to the info you need. It will introduce, even for those that think they know an area, a whole new collection of streams that you may not have even known were accessible.
If you are an enthusiast of this area, or considering travel here, it belongs in your collection."

“I purchased both your northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin DVDs and they are excellent…… the DVDs have provided me with good information on other rivers and creeks that I had not yet explored. I especially like the shuttle explanations and maps……the videos are great and they far exceed descriptions found in books as to usefulness”. “Hello, I purchased your next river DVD (Illinois Rivers) & I think you are doing great job! The map info before each segment is great”! “Hi Mark and Merri, just wanted to let you know I received the 2-DVD set of River Trails of Northern Illinois. I just had to write you to say how well done theyare. I especially loved the maps you offer along with a detailed oral description of the route to take out. I am sure I will watch them over and over. They truly are a treasure...
